Every Monday Night ~Rain or Shine ~ 7:00 pm-10:00 pm ~$3.00 admission~ We began Drum Circle at Mystic Moon in June 1999.Nine people attended. It has since grown into a huge ongoing Pagan event with attendees, drummers and dancers numbering from 150-250 every Monday. Drum Circle is always open to respectful seekers! We are a family and community, friendly and a safe sacred space todrum, dance and spend time with old friends and meet new folks. It is a great place in the community to network with local groups and organizations and just havefun! Drum Circle has become a hub for our community. We have wonderful dedicated staff of volunteers from the community. These folks work countless hours to make sure Drum Circle never misses a beat. No Matter what the weather, WE NEVER CANCEL. Along with growth of the Drum Circle there has been a growth in expenses, so for the last year there is a $3.00 per adult admission to cover cost of an event this size. The fee goes to maintain Drum Circle. We are proud at Mystic Moon to host such an event. We place a healing list on the altar ALWAYS for names of those in need of energy sent their way. After a break for announcements, we ask the drummers to drum a heartbeat, and dozens of people collectively focus and send that energy to help heal, prosper and sooth those in need. We get calls from all over the country to be put on the list. Our drummers ROCK THE UNIVERSE!!!!! If you are in town you won't want to miss drum Circle. Hope to see you here!!! Monday nights we also collect canned food donations for the local community and the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia. Household items and clothing donations go to Parc Family Shelter . Drum Circle Rules of Hospitality To attend Drum Circle you must: Be over 18 or with your parent or legal guardian Pay $3.00 per adult. (children are free) Totally refrain from rough housing and horseplay NEVER bring alcohol or drugs Be considerate near the circle and in the shoppe Leave your pets at home Come in peace and regard for sacred space |
